South of England ShowThursday 10th and Friday 11th June.
The South of England Show takes place in June and is open to school visits.

 

 

 

☺    Visit the Knowledge Box to find out all about Sustainable Methods of Farming and join in the activities based on biodiversity
☺    Take a guided tour around the Livestock area.
☺    Have a go at milking Buttercup the life-size cow.

Meet the animals, watch the birds of prey fly, try fly-casting, find out where food comes from, go pond dipping, see the sheep shearers, blacksmiths, farriers, hurdle makers and others at work

Many areas of the curriculum can be enhanced by a visit:- Science, History, Design & Technology, Citizenship and Healthy Living.  Discover more about sustainability, the environment, biodiversity and conservation issues.
