Farming in North Norfolk - New KS2 resource brings farming to life.
Farming in North Norfolk is an exciting new resource for KS2 use. It comprises seven short, specially made, films showing how much of our food is produced and how farming impacts on the environment. Although the films use the North Norfolk Coast Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty as a case study the content would apply across much of the country.
There is also a comprehensive teacher pack including lesson plans, supplementary resources and guidance on undertaking farm visits.
The short films are produced with KS2 in mind but teachers are already finding that they are very flexible. The topics are Barley, Dairy, Fruit, Nature, Potatoes, Sausages, Tourism and Wheat.
The resource has been produced by a partnership of the North Norfolk Business Forum, Norfolk Coast Partnership, Easton College, FACE and the Farmers Trust.
Farming In North Norfolk is now available online: www.farminginnorthnorfolk.org.uk
Farming in North Norfolk is also available as a DVD and CD pack (one free copy per school) – contact Moya Myerscough, FACE Regional Co-ordinator, East of England on
to request a copy.
