FACE thanks Prince Charles
Thursday, 09 April 2015 08:20

WestmorlandFACE was pleased to be invited to join its longstanding member Westmorland County Agricultural Society in welcoming HRH Prince Charles when he visited the showground recently.

Prince Charles was shown various aspects of the Society's activities including the Farm to Fork Roadshow, which FACE assists with; Silage competitions; Rural Vocational Training; and Young Apprentices Scheme.

Katy Pallas, North West Regional Co-ordinator for FACE and Janet Hickinbottom were able to thank Prince Charles for his support of FACE's work through the Prince's Countryside Fund.

Christine Knipe, Chief Executive of WCAS, said:" As you know Westmorland are huge supporters of FACE so it was only natural that you were included!

We were so pleased with the visit, particularly for all our volunteers who really do work hard for the Society.  It was also good to have acknowledgment for the work we do outside of the Show.  HRH was very impressed by the wide range of our educational activities, especially the Farm 2 Fork Roadshow."
