Leaving giftThis week the FACE team said their farewells to FACE's founding Chief Executive, Bill Graham.

Bill joined the newly-established FACE in 2001 and had since developed the organisation to become the leading educational charity in the agricultural sector.

Lord Curry remarked: "I can't begin to try and qualtify the huge contribution you have made to the cause of informing school children about farming, food and the countryside."  John Lee, currently High Sheriff of Devon and former chairman of FACE for 12 years added, "The organisation would not exist or have developed to the position it now occupies without your steadfast efforts."

The FACE team presented Bill with a painting by Rupert Aker who works at the Soil Association.  Rupert has been a supporter of FACE for many years and sits on the Access To Farms group of which Bill was chair.

Bill plans to take time out to rest and reflect while taking holidays in France and Greece and we all wish him a very happy retirement.
