FACE200lowAre you a farmer, smallholder or community gardener who is interested in hosting school visits? Or do you work for an organization that runs countryside visits for schools?

CEVAS is a well established training scheme which includes health and safety, links to the school curriculum and how to communicate with young people, leading optionally to a recognized qualification. With growing interest in the outdoor classroom and food education, here is a valuable opportunity to gain skills in connecting with the public. For more information about CEVAS, see www.cevas.org.uk.

FACE Wales is holding a course at the Ability Centre, Swansea in November. The course runs over two Mondays, 3 and 10 November, starting at 9.30am and finishing around 4.00pm. The course will be delivered mainly in English, but course materials will be provided in Welsh as well if required, and you will be able to complete your portfolio in Welsh with bilingual tutor support. Further information is available here.

The course is sponsored by Organic Centre Wales and the Rural Regeneration Unit and it is free, with a £50 fee for optional OCN accreditation afterwards. This fee is payable later.
