Abbey Home Farm Conference
Thursday, 27 March 2014 11:38

Abbey Home Farm ConferenceFACE and Farms For Schools held a joint conference at Abbey Home Farm near Cirencester.

Delegates had the opportunity to learn about the current national situation before moving to a variety of hands on workshops. We found out how to create a calf halter from binder twine; how to create paper pots to take away growing seeds or plants; and how to use literacy, maths and science on the farm.

Hilary Chester-Master of Abbey Home Farm provided an excellent vegetarian lunch during which attendees had the chance to meet and talk. She later explained how the education offering at the farm had developed and her future plans.  This sparked interesting discussions to incorporate the experiences of others.

Further joint conferences arre planned during the year and details wioll be available at http://www.face-online.org.uk/face-seminars
